I have been wanting to start a blog for many years now, and I finally decided it was time to get down to business. Life is too short to not accomplish the things we want to do in the short time we have here. I have been an aspiring writer all of my life, it's what I was meant to do. I have pages upon pages of things written, and this coming fall my first ever children's book will be coming out. I will of course do a post about that, and keep everyone in the loop on it the further along the process gets. I am so excited!
I was born and raised in Connecticut, and I am still here back in my childhood home raising my own little guy, Preston whom is six years old. I've been on a solo Mom adventure since shortly after he turned one, and he is just my light in the dark. As a Mom, I am learning and growing right along with him and sometimes I think it's hard to find a space where other Moms or Dads can talk about the tough stuff too. I hope by sharing my experiences raising a boy will benefit someone else's life, even if it just gives a laugh or makes you feel a little less alone. The older I get, the more I wish I realized as I grew, my parents were too. We are ever evolving as people, and that doesn't just stop when we become a parent. Finding that balance is where I am at right now. Being a Mom has taught me so much, but mostly how I need to heal myself to provide a path where my son is confident in himself where he can follow his dreams and succeed in whatever he chooses to do in life.
I hope to share many things here with you. Whether it be my life experiences, Mom stories, lifestyle and home decor, fashion for adults and kids, book recommendations... you name it. It'll probably be here. I can't wait to build a community with all different types of people and I hope you will connect with me in some way. Let's do the damn thing!
