It's hard to believe that Mother's Day is right around the corner! For me it's a bittersweet time of year, I lost my Mom to cancer when I was twenty-five. But, being a Mom myself I try to honor the day as best I can to make memories with my little guy. Luckily, I've got a really important woman in my life who is like a Mother to me; so it makes things a little bit more happy. There are SO many options for gift giving when it comes to this day, both inexpensive and pricy depending on your budget. I personally love to have my son make special little handmade items to give, and he also has a blast doing them. Last year he did a handprint cement gem stepping stone, and this year he is painting a wooden birdhouse from the craft store. These are the types of gifts you can keep forever, and they are so sentimental.
You can never go wrong with flowers, and this time of year they have the prettiest ones in bloom. Peonies are a spring favorite of mine, but tulips and daisies are also perfect for Mother's Day too. If you are sending flowers from afar some of my fave sites to order from are:
I've compiled a little list of links that are great gifts for Mom, ( I am not affiliated with any of them.) I think these are some great categories for gifts. I cannot go anywhere without my hydro flask. They are pricy, but they last forever! I love sweat sets, they are cute enough to wear in public where you don't feel lazy. Mom jewelry is always super cute, and you can't go wrong with a duffle! I also really love Truly beauty products, and they are super affordable!
I think acts of service gifts are also wonderful. Clean out Mom's car, fill it up with gas,( a huge help right now) do some gardening for her or yard clean-up, grab her a coffee and a breakfast treat! I love basing gifts on someone's love language, I think it makes someone feel extra special when you are attentive to their needs based off things that mean the most to them. Life goes by so fast, treasure the time you have with your Mother. If you're like me and no longer have Mom here with you, just know you're not alone. Mother's Day can be a really hard day for many people for all different reasons, but just know that no matter where your Mom might be, she is so happy that you exist. Happy shopping, and enjoy next Sunday!
